Hi Everyone! I was in daydreaming mood when creating this piece. Don't know why I felt inspired by these words. My thought is that one has to begin the making of a dream by imagining, then believe that what you imagine is possible, so that you can ultimately discover for yourself what your mind created. It's possible that one might discover other things on your way to one dream. I like it when this happens to me, it just means that the universe is communicating telling you something. Okay, Okay I'll stop getting too philosophical about this piece and explain how I made it. I used a cardboard box as the canvas. I used K and Company scrapbooking paper. The words were stamped on cardstock paper. I also stamped some images as part of the background. These stamps include the key, the vintage calendar and letter postmarks. The flowers are from Recollection, and added some pearls as the center. The bows are made from hemp string. The layers underneath the words consist of corrugated cardboard, burlap, gauze, drywall tape and lace. The butterflies were cut from the K and Company scrapbooking paper using a Martha Stewart butterfly puncher. The clocks were printed from the internet on cardstock paper and used Mod Podge Dimensional magic to give it a glossy look.

Live Your Dreams Mixed Media
Hi Everyone! Today I have a pink-ish "Live Your
Dreams" collage. I like inspirational quotes...you probably already
noticed that in the first two collages and will find that with a lot of my art
and craft. I feel as if quotes are a call to arms, smidge of wisdom, to
get motivate and get you moving. The art around the quote is an imagery to
spark imagination and beauty. This collage is done on the back of cardboard
backing of another used up notebook. I have kept them over the years, thinking
one day I’d use them for something…well here is the something, lol. I stamped
the words on cardstock paper and placed on burlap, which sits on top of
corrugated cardboard. I have also added honeycomb texture with homemade texture
paint and stencil. The flowers are Prima Flowers, I took off the center off the
biggest flower that it came with and I added bling instead. The background is
scrapbooking paper and swirly stamps. I printed out vintage clocks onto cardstock
paper from the internet and used Martha Stewart butterfly punch. Also added lace and swirly bling. Enjoy!

Live Learn Grow Mixed Media
Hi Everyone!
I have another collage project, similar to the my previous post. I was experimenting with the same concept using the same materials. This one has the message "Live Learn Grow", a very popular quote in art. Only difference is that I created a makeshift frame suing hemp string that surrounds the message. I love working with hemp string, it give art a natural look.

Live Laugh Love Mixed Media
Hi Everyone!
I decided to finally make my first entry on my blog. I decided to make a shabby chic-ish collage. This style of is sort of new to me, so for now I am experimenting. For the canvas I decided to use something inexpensive and used the cardboard backing of a used up writing pad. I used CK and Company brand scrapbooking designer paper. The flowers and bling are from the Collections brand. I used Tim Holtz Distressed Ink-Vintage Photo for the edges to give it an aged look. The butterflies were fuzzy cut from the scrapbooking paper. The honeycomb shape background is done with a stencil and homemade texture paint. I just simply love texture. Not sure if you could tell the theme. The butterflies are coming out of the clock and moving upward. Sort of like saying that it's time that transformation from of the butterflies is not complete and now they fly free. For me to live free is to Live, Laugh, Love without holding back.
