Today I want to share a home décor shadowbox project. I like birds and musical notes as symbols in art and really wanted to use them together. There are thousands of ways to go about this using mixed media, so I went with a simple nature theme. It's nice to have nature inside your home; I think it's relaxing to look at.
How it's made
I could not find an unfinished pedestal shadowbox, so I made my own by gluing a wooden shadowbox and pedestal together, then painting it with gesso. I then painted it with cream chalk paint. The nest I made of Spanish moss. The bird and flowers are store bought. The background is scrapbooking paper with a white wash over it. Enjoy nature!
