Butterfly Dreams Card-Imagine
Hello Makers!
Today I have an Imagine Artist in Residence project to share. This month we have the pleasure of working with Joy Clair stamps. I am using the Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set. I used the matte Dura-lar film over stamped butterflies and embossed butterflies on to of the film, giving the card a 3D effect...just love that look. To learn how this card is made visit the Imagine Blog.

Steampunk Dress Sculpture
Hello Makers!
Got Gears? I do. In my my Steampunk dress sculpture I call "Pretty in Steel", sorta a play on the classic movie title "Pretty in Pink", if anyone remembers. This dress measures 11 inches in height and is about 7 inches at its widest point. I made this dress using polymer clay. I used about 2 pounds of clay. I did it in sections. I would add clay, metal faux screws, rivets, and gears, then bake. This way I can handle the piece while trying to add clay and keep from distorting the clay. I hope you like my dress.

Industrial Chic-Makin's Clay
Hello Makers,
Check out my copper, square pattern, industrial chic bowl I made using Makin's Clay new Square Pattern Roller. I think that it looks like it's made our wire mesh...pretty cool! To color it I used Prima Marketing Rich Copper Metallic Wax.

Family Tree Wall Hanging-Imagine
Hello Makers!
Today I have an Imagine project to share. This month at Imagine we have the pleasure to work with Joy Clair Stamps. For this project I used the Love Tree Stamp set to make a Family Tree Wall Hanging. I stamp the images on watercolor paper using Imagine's All-Purpose and VersaFine CLAIR inks. I wire wrapped the piece to hang on the wall. To learn how you can give this project try, visit the Imagine's Blog.

Lost for Words - Altered Bottle
Hello Makers!
The inspiration for this altered bottle came to me when, recently, I was at a lost for words, literally. I shocked about something and could not find the words to express my feelings or maybe I just forgot the word I was searching...as it goes with these types of moments. It's like you can't reach your head's hard drive fast enough to retrieve words, memories. Sometimes you may find it and sometimes it's just lost.
