Hello Makers!
Today I have project that involves...yet another bowl. This bowl is decorative and functional. I used a yogurt container as the mold, Activa Self Hardening clay and colored it with Imagine's Fireworks! Sprays. I found that Fireworks plays well with porous or paper clay. The Activa clay is a nice porous clay that takes pigment inks and craft sprays nicely. I blended together Summer Sky, Danube Blue and Tuxedo Black in Fireworks Craft Sprays. Check my tutorial!

Beaded Clay Bowls-Imagine
One day I was at my local craft store and noticed the beads were on clearance. So I had to take a gander; after all, I do like to make jewelry, among my many art interests. I found these two lonely large beads hanging on a string, which somehow...I liked. I got the inspiration to wire wrap them onto a small clay bowl, something I like making too. Like my varied shape bowls, flowery clay bowl, sgraffito bowl, heart bowl, alphabet soup bowl. I made the bowl using Activa Self Hardening clay, a nice porous clay that takes pigment inks nicely. It has the characteristic of ceramic clay, except, that you don't need a kiln. I decided to use inks that would complement the beads. I used Turquoise Gem, VersaMagic, a stunning turquoise that contrasts nicely with the Crimson Copper and Rocket Red Gold Brilliance inks. Check my full tutorial for this project on the Imagine blog.
